Ngurah Rai airport (DPS) has one big rule you need to know: Grab and Gojek cannot pick up at the terminals. The moment you land, your options are the official taxi counter, a pre-booked private transfer, or a 10–15 minute walk with luggage to the Grab Lounge. For most travelers, a pre-booked transfer is the smartest move — fixed price, driver waiting with your name, no negotiation.

Grab and Gojek cannot pick up at the terminal. The Grab Lounge is a 10–15 minute walk through the airport complex with your luggage. In the rain, at night, with bags — not fun. Use Grab/Gojek once you're at your hotel — they work perfectly everywhere else in Bali.
Immediately after customs, men will shout "Taxi! Transport! Cheap price!" These are unauthorized touts who quote 2–3× the real rate. Walk past them to the official taxi counter or look for your pre-booked driver's name sign. Don't engage.
